Pammy was my best friend in kindergarten in Alexandria, Virginia. I still remember her and the fun times we had. My sincere condolences to her family.

Pam was called "Pammie" back in kindergarten and first grade. We were living in Alexandria, VA, at the time, and she and my daughter, Betsy went to the same school. In fact, both dads were in the Coast Guard, and we lived in the same apartment complex. Betsy and Pammie played together so much and had lots of fun. I extend my warmest regards to her parents. Betsy's younger sister, Rachel, also passed away in 2006. She had been struggling with a brain tumor for seven years. I have thought of Pammie so many times over the years. So glad I found this guestbook. Anita Springer Davis

Happy birthday to us! I got you a present in San Francisco earlier this year, something I thought you'd like. It's a mug with Shakespearean insults all over it. So, let me say - from the heart: "Thou beetle-headed, flap-eared knave; thou quintessence of dust; thou art a boil, a plague sore; thou veriest varlet that ever chewed with a tooth! I do desire we may be better strangers."

I have been find it difficult to find the right words to say. Either because they are words I wish I had the chance to speak to her before she left us, or I want to find the right words to comfort friends and family left behind. I remember the first night we stayed at that apartment we shared near Fairfield High School. I cooked dinner and severely under cooked the bread, over cooked the Italian sausage that went in the spaghetti sauce. It was probably the worst meal either of us had to that point. She ate and was so polite not one complaint. God was looking out for us that night... neither of us got food poisoning.:) Pam liked to laugh. Most of my memories are of her laughing with us in our little group of friends that came together through high school. She has a good heart and tremendous spirit, and she will be missed. Listen to the wind as it blows through the trees. The pine has a sweet song as the gust push through its needles. With a high whistle and low hum. The song of the trees rock you to a day dream. Time seems to slow to a lazy beat. Warm rays of the bright yellow sun peak through the branches and the fine green needles. The pine sways left and right like a Mother rocking her child in the cool breeze. At this moment you are at complete peace. Just the song of the trees welcoming you home.

What can I say, but that it has been along time since last we spoke. I will miss you and our talks. You are a good friend. It will be hard knowing that a light like yours has left the world. In knowing you, your light has changed my life for the better. I will miss you greatly and always remember you when I read certain books or see Les Miserables. Moreover, always the famous quote “Oil???? Cars need oil?”
