Her Royal Duchess Diamond Persnicketty the First, Last, and Only (yes, named after the Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends character) came to me in pretty bad shape - although I didn't know it at the time. She's my first reptile, and darnit I took the Reptile Shop Guy at his word when he said that she was in perfect health and no, those scabs on her back were nothing to worry about...
I finally took her to my exotics vet almost a year after I got her and had a full bloodwork panel run on her...she had parasites and a chronic respirory infection. :^( She's been treated for those and is already doing better, however she also has an incurable blood disease that will make her weaker than a healthy snake, and she'll probably be fighting respitory infections the rest of her life (which require at-home injections - I've already done a month's-worth of these). I can just hope she'll live as long as possible. Well, the injections have actually made her friendlier, as she's more used to being handled now. ;^)

"Stay out of my dressing room!"

"Hey! Turn on the jets!"

She doesn't have this tree anymore because she got too big, but she used to love it.

She used to coil up like this in her waterdish when she had parasites. I didn't know why she did it at the time.
