Castor is Olive Oyl's brother, but once upon a time he was more famous than his sister. He had his own storybooks, and was virtually the main character of Thimble Theatre. It was Castor who hired Popeye on as the one-man crew of Olive's ship in 1929, little knowing that the sailor would outrank him in popularity rapidly. Castor is always embarking on adventures, trying every outrageous scheme there is to find fame and fortune.
