Halloween 2003 - Castle Forrester

Halloween is a very serious matter around here. For our last Halloween at our parents' house, we decided to go all out (as it were). To attest to our geekiness, we recreated the dungeon of Castle Forrester from Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Of course, I was Pearl Forrester and Jimlaaaad was Dr. Clayton Forrester. Filling the role of TV's Frank was the always eager-to-please Jacques LaLean (my medical office skeleton, who always does something pivotal in our Halloween setups). Brain Guy made a "cameo" in the form of a green Jell-o brain-shaped mold. And then we ate him.

The scene: We put a TV and VCR on the porch and played movies (First Spaceship on Venus and The Giant Gila Monster) while skeletal Frank sat in front of it, junk food wrappers littered around his lifeless body. I had made up a "Torgo's Pizza" box and we sat on either side of Frank, eating pizza and making snide comments while passing out candy. Not a single soul knew who we were supposed to be exactly, but several did figure out that we were indeed evil scientists who had tortured a victim to death by making him watch bad movies - so at least we must have been doing it right.

I apologise profusely for the bad photos; the lighting was awful once the sun went down, and my mother did not have a steady hand. But please enjoy the "notes" Jimlaaaad made up (he had them printed out and on his clipboard).
