Here is a list of the characters and creatures you will probably see and interact with when you play Yume Nikki. It is by no means a complete list of every single monster and creature in the game however; just the ones I felt were worth noting. This is not a guide on how to find each of these characters and what they do for you in the game (if anything) - use the Game Guides for that. Also, most of these names are not "official." Many names have been coined over the years by fans.

BLOCK GUY There's a few of these guys, and they vary in appearance.

BLUE GIRL Several of them stand about beside a lake. Don't provoke them...

BODY aka "Blood On the Pavement." Someone didn't look both ways before he crossed.

CAT FACE A floating cat face.

DWARF A speedy little dwarf. Can you catch him?

EYE-HAND He sees more than the other hands...

FACELESS GHOST A ghost without a face.

FISHERMAN This guy really likes to go fishing.

FROG There's actually two of these.

GHOST There's a couple different types of these.

GUILLOTINE Aw, a happy smiling guillotine.

JELLYFISH Well, not really a jellyfish. I don't know what it is.

KYUKYU-KUN aka "RubRub." He really loves to rub his...ah...pole. I mean stair railing.

LAMPMAN A cute little lamp running around.

LIZARDMAN Lizard Men love math. We don't know why.

MADOTSUKI The heroine of the game.

MONOE A perfectly normal girl. Who lives in a demented dream world.

MONOKO A girl who looks like she's been through a horrific accident. There's a way to reveal her true form.

MOUTH MONSTER They're not as talkative as they look.

ORGANOID Name coined by Loudman01. A teleporting creature.

PARROT A neon parrot!

PONIKO A little blonde girl who lives peacefully in her house. Or she did, before you got there...

RED MAN A tall, thin red man.

SECCOM MASADA aka "Space Piano Man," or "That Guy With the 6.9 Eyes." Seccom Masada Sensei is the piano player on a spaceship.

SHADOW MAN Shadowy figures who live in a shadowy town.

SNOW WOMAN aka "Yuki-onna." A little blue woman who's at home in the snow.

TOKUTO-KUN Interact with him, and he'll show you his "talent."

TORININGEN Tall woman with long noses. The normal ones ignore you but the demented ones will chase you down and throw you in a dead end. The demented ones can be identified by their crazy purple eyes and lolling red tongues. Stabbing a normal one can turn her demented.

TOWEL What kind of conversation can you have with a towel?

UBOA aka "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Uboa is...Uboa, really.
