I saw this probably in 1966. It is one movie that stayed with me all through my life. Just as, "To Kill a Mockingbird" which I saw when I was five in 1963. Anyway, I just watched it today on Netflix. Have you knoticed the animation in the beginning is the same type of animation for Lemony Snicket's Unfortunate Events??

Thanks so much for this labor of love. I know how much effort it takes to put together something like this. The LP rip alone is a great gift to us. And to think, it's all because of a man named Prune. Phineas T that is.

I grew up on a farm in rural Canada in the 60's...we only got two channels on tv and didn't have a movie theatre, so I never saw this movie until last year, when my husband bought it for me for Christmas. However, my sister and I received the LP for Christmas one year and we must have listened to that album 200 times. It's more than 40 years later and I still remembered every lyric to every song. And what a delight it was to finally see all the scenes that were only narrated on the record (or not included at all!). My kids say it's creepy, which it is, and that's part of what makes it so compelling. Merry Christmas!
